Children for Year 2 at Fairfield Primary visited Wordsworth House in Cockermouth today to learn more about what life was like in the Georgian Era. The children were made to work hard, sweeping the floor and crushing the wheat to make flour. Following their work, they did get to have a lovely rest in the Georgian beds! Chidren gained some hands on practice of using a quill and even drew their own portraits. Life was hard in Georgian times, but the children had great fun!
