Fairfield become a 'Champion School'

Fairfield Primary School have been awarded the status of 'Champion School' but the rapidly growing and successful SSP called 'Little Wandle Letters and Sounds revised. 

Little Wandle Champion Schools support other schools in the successful implementation of Little Wandle and have exemplary practice including meeting  16 Standards of Excellence. Meeting the rigorous standards in the teaching of early reading and phonics demonstrates the high-quality provision that is seen daily at Fairfield. The standards also look at the competencies and capacities of the leadership and how they can support other schools. With Rachel Edminson (Literacy Leader) at the helm, we will now have other schools coming to see Little Wandle in action at Fairfield and will be sharing the wonderful work our staff and children are doing. We are very proud to be part of this fantastic network of Champion Schools across the country.
